The Halo Board Beast is one of the most powerful and all-terrain electric skateboards you will find on the market today.

This electric skateboard has really outperformed my expectations. I have felt the difference from my very first ride as the power of the board is crazy, and the control is very smooth.

The carving ability of this halo board is like surfing on a pavement. You will feel smooth and precise, which gives you each turn in full control without feeling wobbly and unstable.

It is also capable of handling off-road terrains like small pebbles, dirt, grass and cracks easily.

I won’t recommend this e-skate for absolute beginners because of the acceleration. It can get quite overwhelming for some riders. 

However, if you have a little experience on an electric skateboard, then I would recommend you not to take the gear over 2 until you get really comfortable.

Deck

The Halo Board Beast features a combination of bamboo and fiberglass blend. This combination of materials gives the deck both strength and a little flexibility so you can have a smooth and comfortable ride.

This electric skateboard has a low-profile design and is only 4.5 inches tall. Now, this low to the ground design helps you to get better balance, improves handling and carving and get more control over the board.

The deck has a light flex, which means it is slightly bendable and can absorb bumps very well on rough terrains.

However, this flexibility of the deck is not that extreme. So don’t expect it to be springy and super bouncy.

This electric skateboard is designed for comfort and stability, not for doing high-impact jumps and landings. So don’t try to bounce or jump too much, as it might actually damage the deck.

Trucks

That’s not it. This electric skateboard is also capable of handling rough terrains pretty well. You just have to swap the street wheels with the 120mm All-Terrain Wheels.

These 120mm wheels are capable of handling off-road terrains like dirt paths, grass, gravel and other rough surfaces very easily.

This extra size of the wheels is great at absorbing shocks and helps you to ride smoother and steadier on rough ground.

However, you have to buy these 120mm all-terrain wheels separately if you plan to ride on rough ground.

From my personal experience, the 120mm all-terrain wheels have been of great help, especially for someone like me who rides daily for commuting.

I actually live in an area with a bit of uneven roads and cracks, so the additional size works very well for me.

Motor and Speed

This electric skateboard has a dual 3200 watts of power, which gives your ride an impressive speed and acceleration.

You can hit the top speed up to 26 Mph, which is enough for any casual riders and daily commuters.

This Halo Beast has a 9.6Ah LG lithium-ion battery, which is very reliable and also increases the life span of the battery.

Many riders have major concerns over the battery, and certain things like overheating, short circuits, or catching fire might happen, especially after riding for a long time.

But the LG battery of this e-board is UL 2271 certified, and the whole board is UL 2272 Certified. It means that the board’s battery has been strictly tested for safety to meet U.S. standards.

Moreover, the entire board is UL 2272 hologram certified, too. So all the electrical systems like the battery, motors, charger and wiring have been carefully checked for safety.

All in all, the battery is certified firesafe, so you can feel at ease and ride without worrying.

Now, let’s talk about the range. This Halo board gives you a range of 25 miles on a single charge, which is good enough for daily commuting or just cruising around the city. So there is no need for you to spend extra money to upgrade the battery.

When it comes to charging, this electric skateboard comes with a UL-certified charger. The charging time for the beast takes around 4 to 5 hours to charge completely.

I think the charging duration is pretty reasonable. I usually just plug it in after a long ride, or you can charge it overnight for the next day.

The range also depends on a couple of factors, like the rider’s weight, the type of terrain you are riding on, etc.

If you plan to climb on steep inclines, then the motors need to work harder, right? So naturally, the battery drains faster than usual, and you might not be able to get the full 25-mile range.

But still, this Halo board has impressive torque, and it can climb hills like a pro without slowing you down.

Remote

The Halo Board Beast comes with a redesigned LCD Multi-Mode Remote. This remote has an LCD, which shows you the current speed and the battery levels of both the board and the remote.

So, it is super helpful when you are planning on riding for long rides. The remote of this electric skateboard also gives you the ability to switch between the four-speed modes.

I found the beginner speed mode is really helpful when you are just starting as a newbie, but I mostly ride on the highest mode when I am in the mood to push things a bit.

This wireless remote control has a comfortable grip, so the ergonomic design of this board fits naturally in your hand, and the Bluetooth connection between the board and the remote feels very smooth and steady.

In my experience, I have never felt any kind of lag or delay while riding.

Who should buy the Halo Board Beast?

The Halo Beast is a fast and powerful electric skateboard that truly offers exceptional performance.

With the long-range and comfortable wheels, this board will just make your day.

But if you plan to buy this e-skate for tricks and stunts purposes like flips, jumps or street tricks, then I don’t think it will be ideal for you. 

Is the Halo Beast worth it?

Overall, I found the Halo Board Beast an amazing electric skateboard.

If you are a daily commuter like me or want to purchase this electric skateboard for long-ride purposes, then the Halo Beast will be an excellent choice for you.

The top speed and impressive range are more than enough for most riders, and above all, the safety certifications give you an extra layer of trust and safety.

What is more amazing is that you can ride it all day without feeling tired or uncomfortable.

The Halo beast is designed with high-quality materials, so even if you use it for regular purposes, it will last you a very long time.

Now about the price. The price of this electric skateboard is not that high and will certainly not break the bank.

With its overall high-quality factors like the performance, the swappable wheels and the dual direct drive motors, I think the price value makes sense.

From my experience, for someone like me who rides daily, especially on mixed terrains, the Halo Beast electric skateboard gives my money’s worth.
